One of the most interesting aspects of this season has been the role Ghost Nation plays. We know they are collecting humans, but are unsure of why. They are even willing to potentially act violently, as with Hector and Maeve, to collect them. I do not think they wish to cause harm to the humans, and it appears they saving them and passing some type of judgment over them. They do not seem like they are trying to hurt Emily when she escapes and almost just let her leave to avoid hurting her. Now in one of the opening scenes of the season, we see Dolores hunt down and kill a member of Ghost Nation; this is when we first learn about the mind eggs. Now I think Dolores is hunting down and killing Ghost Nation because they are directly opposing her mission to hunt down and kill humans. If they are saving humans and protecting them from slaughter, Dolores would hunt them down to advance her cause. Its also possible that she doesn’t believe they deserve to go to the valley beyond, but that wouldn’t be nearly as fun or useful to the plot.
