It&#8217;s akin to shipping in fan fiction. It is incomplete, unbalanced, distorted. It imposes a worldview on the story. It says more about the theorist than the world.<\/p>\n<p>A correct theory answers all the questions. It&#8217;s complete, balanced, objective. It&#8217;s free of a world view. It has the &#8220;ring of truth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In fiction, the writers&#8217; intention forms a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/plato.stanford.edu\/entries\/fiction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Meinongian truth<\/a>&#8220;.
