I think that once his gun backfired, he just lay there until he was rescued. The scene with him descending into the elevator, although it looked like it was the same time as Delores being there, was actually the first glimpse into the far, far future when he was being tested for fidelity.<\/p>\n<p>Everything in the park actually happened, but William is later recreated and runs that story loop over and over.<\/p>\n<p>If the &#8220;casual&#8221; viewers of Lost thought that the church scene meant they were in purgatory all along (they weren&#8217;t, that scene was far into the future) then I can only assume that &#8220;casual&#8221; viewers of Westworld will think something similar with William and assume that he was always a host, which isn&#8217;t not the case.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to your podcast for Season 3 in a couple of years, and in the meantime, i think Ill checkout Shat The Movies ??<\/p>\n<p>Big love from the UK.<\/p>\n<p>CJ<\/p>\n<p>PS.
