I would like to take a moment to address the elephant in the room (sorry Cersei) and that is everyone getting mad about Arya being the Prince who was Promised because she killed the Night King. Guess what, this shit isn’t over. And I have three different breakdowns <\/p>\n

1.) VAGUE \/\/ Does Arya manage all of the criteria to be Azor Ahai? Well that depends. As we know prophecies are often wrong, or incredibly vague in this show, so interpretation becomes difficult. Not to mention simple language barriers like not knowing it was Prince or Princess until just last season. To be “born of salt and smoke” can be interpreted in virtually any sense, figuratively and physically. In essence, the ambiguity of the prophecy can fit anyone, just like your zodiac sign. For show purposes that made it vague, but had us keep our minds occupied on it being Jon or Dany. <\/p>\n

2.) MOOSHY \/\/ Maybe Arya isn’t Azor Ahai. Maybe the one to save to world from darkness still is Dany or Jon, but the greatest darkness is Cersei. I get that Death just marched on Winterfel, but there are fates worse than death. And going by just the numbers of the Night King, Cersei is almost sixes with him. She blew up half of King’s Landing, abandoned the Northerners, started wars, uses the little birds as political assassins and these were all in much more populated areas than the cold North. So in killing people, Cersei is almost as bad, but she also tortures, hooks up with her family members, lies, manipulates and attempted to kill Tyrion a lot of times (for no apparent reason). So maybe Light Bringer is justice about to be served to “the most murderous woman in the world”. <\/p>\n

3.) THEORY \/\/ Now, the one fun part that is a bit of a TinFoil hat theory, but I think may work in favor of Arya being Azor Ahai. This is the Cat’s Paw Dagger. Remember old Azor Ahai? How he made the sword “LightBringer” and on his second attempt he plunged it into a lion and it shattered? I believe that the Cat’s Paw Dagger is simply one of the Shard that broke. Then sometime later it was matched to its dragon bone handle. That is her Light Bringer, which could have been pulled from stone, seeing as her mother is\/was Lady Stoneheart. Arya was also born at the end of a long summer when rains from Salt Cliff were bellowing the grounds of Winterfel. She knew the red commit was a sign for dragons. And she is the only person to believe in the god of death, and knows just what to say to him. Plus Barrick and the Red Woman were really sold on it being her, and this is after Mel went back to Volantis to get her G.E.D. in prophecy giving and fire starting. All in all, even though she wasn’t good at the prophecy stuff, the Lord of Light left enough breadcrumbs for us to follow, or at least enough for the show runners to give us one last curve-ball that everyone should enjoy. <\/p>\n
