There are a couple of things really stumping me. First, everything I’ve heard, seen, read all refers to Viserion breathing fire, questioning if it burns at a different temperature, etc. When watching the wall fall, I don’t see any point where there is melting or any sign of heat. When the blast hits the wall, it appears to break from force. When the wooden structures of Eastwatch are hit nothing catches fire, the structure just collapses. Do you think there could be an ice component, particularly since this is the Night King we’re dealing with? I could see in the upcoming battle how this would be problematic if Viserion could squelch the protective fires surrounding Winterfell.<\/p>\n

My second question applies to your discussion about off screen deaths and who could possibly come back. There are 2 deaths most people don’t realize we never had closure on that I have held out hope for. The first is Olenna Tyrell. We last see her perfectly well, having drank the poison as Jamie walks out. Given the cunning and suspicious nature of the Tyrell Matriarch, I don’t think it implausible that she could have had an antidote of some kind readily available, say in the cabinet sitting right beside her. The other is our beloved Hodor. We left Hodor while he was being clawed to death by wights from behind the door. Back in season 3 episode 10 when Samwell and Gilly meet Bran, Hodor, and the Reeds – Sam gives dragon glass to Bran and to Hodor and it is not seen again. Why make a point to show this if he never uses it? It is possible that Hodor could have used the dragon glass to defend himself and get away. Heck, maybe he’s been living it up with all of Craster’s wives (because what happened to them anyways?) While I think it highly unlikely, given the short time left to wrap up the show, it does leave that opening. I think we can hope, but regarding many off screen deaths we just have to accept they aren’t all going to come back unexpectedly and save the day. Do you think either Olenna or Hodor could prove useful in the end in some way? I would like to keep my hopes alive a few more weeks ??<\/p>\n
