I know this is too late for the weekly telegraph podcast but I love the show and had to share this with Someone. I just watched the latest episode of Westworld again and holy crap a lot jumped out at me. <\/p>\n

You guys stated on the podcast that Ford can now replace people with hosts. You all jumped on that bandwagon so quickly and fully that I thought I missed something on my viewing since I didn’t get that impression. You have stated in the past that the show has not shown any means by which a person’s consciousness could be uploaded into a host. If that is the case, then how would a replacement made by Ford be able to pass for an individual without the recall of all the past memories that make that person then? Ford mentions that Bernard has been a loyal friend for many years. There is no mention of Bernard being replaced. <\/p>\n

What jumped out to me tonight was that the words “blood sacrifice” were used twice in this episode both directed at Theresa. Once by Ford in their final confrontation and the other by Charlotte Hale in their meeting. Come on how often does the phrase blood sacrifice get used in everyday conversation. So why is Ford not worried about Theresa being “missing”. Why does he tell Bernard that he has work to do on the new narratives in a job from which he was recently fired. And why is he not concerned about the board or what Charlotte will do next. Because Charlotte Hale is a host. <\/p>\n

I believe the whole setup with Clem was not a setup to get rid of Ford but an elaborate plot by Ford to get rid of Theresa. If Charlotte is a host then he doesn’t have to be worried about Theresa being missing. If a member of the board says she went on leave like Elsie did who is going question? If Charlotte was able to hide her arrival at the park from Theresa how does Ford know she is already there? In the first conversation, we see between Ford and Theresa she is surprised to hear from Ford that a member of the board is already there. If she is a host of course he would know. <\/p>\n
