As a long-time listener and fellow podcaster, I first want to say that I both respect and admire your consistency throughout the years. Putting out a weekly show, let alone a bi-weekly or tri-weekly, is not something for the feint of heart. <\/p>\n

That being said, as a fan of GRRM’s work and the HBO adaptation, I feel I can speak on behalf of all those gathered at the weekly GOT watch party I attended that the tail end of season 8 was underwelming at best. The rushed pacing and the uncharacteristic dialogue was unnecessary and only present due to the premature expectations set by the show runners. <\/p>\n

Here’s my take on how the writers could have “fixed things”. I’ll also share below a parody video I stitched together for Season 8 Episode 5 “The Bells” that I feel you guys might get a kick out of: https:\/\/youtu.be\/tzpNq4_UKmw <\/p>\n

1) – When the two armies square up in King’s Landing, Cersei never orders the surrender, so out of a combination of impatience and vengeance, Dany torches the Red Keep killing all those inside. <\/p>\n

2) – With Dany breaking the stalemate, Jon, the Northmen, and the Unsullied are forced to attack at ground and fight all Lannister soldiers to the last man. <\/p>\n

3) – Aria and Sandor get caught in the debris from the destruction of the Red Keep. As they manage to escape the chaos, they see “The Mountain” emerging from the castle carrying the body of a charred but living Cersei Lannister. <\/p>\n

4) – Sandor gets trapped behind fiery debris and as a result Aria is forced to face off against The Mountain alone in an effort to get to Cersei. An epic fight ensues but ultimately Sandor has to overcome his fear of fire to save Aria from certain death. Sandor sacrifices his own life to save Aria who is overcome with shock and grief over the death of her frenemy. <\/p>\n

5) – Jamie ultimately finds Cersei attempting to flee the city through
