I do largely agree with this, I think. In fact, the natural place for her to go after the bells rang was for her to extract a measure of retribution against the advisors and ‘allies’ that doubted her, rather than people with no stake in any of this. <\/p>\n

My sketched out alternative ending here is that, rather than going on a rampage of the city, she goes immediately for the Red Keep, and personally incinerates Cersei and Jaime (who arrives without any fight with Euron, who actually does die in the attack). <\/p>\n

The building goes up in flames and is destroyed, with many innocent people dying because they’d taken refuge there – justifying Tyrion\/Jon’s hesitancy to go in swinging, but in a way that’s also plausibly justifiable. <\/p>\n

Grey Worm takes Tyrion into custody, charged with treason for freeing Jaime (and Dany saw what HE did). She gives the big speech to the Unsullied and Dothraki about breaking the wheel while Jon watches and then orders Tyrion killed. <\/p>\n

Jon gets Tyrion’s speech from Arya instead, and then everything else proceeds as before, except Davos ends up putting together the final kingsmoot plan.<\/p>\n
