Have a Theory? Share It Now!<\/a><\/strong><\/p><\/div>Great job with the podcast, guys! I did have a minor disagreement on the topic of Easter Eggs.<\/p>\n

While Westworld layered clues in one way, American Gods just took a different path.<\/p>\n

For example, there were very subtle references to Odin, the gallows god, through the rest of the episode, all tying back to the first scene:<\/p>\n

  1. The other prisoners in the yard showing Shadow a noose (foreshadowing to Shadow, but a nod to the audience) 2. Mr. Wednesday points out to Shadow that he only has one good eye. (The blinding scene) 3. When Technical Boy has his goons hang Shadow (Gallows again). The result being either Laura’s summoning to assist him or (and possibly both) intervention from Mr. Wednesday (Odin) because of the act of hanging.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    True, if you’re familiar with the source material, it jumps out more, but newbies can pick up on these too.<\/p>\n
