Dead does not seem to be a black or white thing, anymore. Dead is dead…. until a certain magic reanimates the dead. John, Stoneheart, and Dondarrion have died, but have been reanimated with “fire”. Then the ice side of Magic, ranging from uncle Benjin to your common place wight, seems to work differently with different effects. Was fire or ice used on the Mountain? Or was it some icy\/hot science experiment that blends the two?<\/p>\n

I am curious what the Mountain is or isn’t. Could Bran warg into him and wreck shop with him, remotely? Could he pass under the wall, or would he be stuck on one side like Benjin? Can he be controlled by either side of the Magic world, or does his zombiedom have its own encryption key?<\/p>\n

If Qyburn could weaponize his technology then suddenly Cersei would have real value in helping to fight or understand the Night King.<\/p>\n

In the end, I don’t know what threat could make the rest of Westeros become comfortable playing with these Dark Arts, and I also don’t see Cersei ever playing nice or sharing with anyone, ever again.<\/p>\n
