Great podcast and thanks very much for the episode 2 instacast!<\/p>\n

So, I’ve now watched both episodes twice. In episode 2, one thing really stood out to me, but no one else agrees. So I thought I’d put it out to the experts.<\/p>\n

William and Logan seemed like a flashback to me. i.e. the Man in Black origin story. I think this may be because the first scene where they show them is faded in on the word “remember”.<\/p>\n

There’s other “evidence” to support this:
\n1) there’s something about the arrival terminal that reminds me of the cold storage from ep 1
\n2) William bumps into the dude in town, which is what Teddy usually does
\n3) There are people in town drafting for the war, not for the bandit hunt<\/p>\n

In my mind, it’s most definitely a flashback, but I am the only one who sees it this way.<\/p>\n

If this is true, then I have 2 crackpot theories.<\/p>\n

One suggests that William and Logan are tied to the corporation somehow (they are brothers in law). I’m guessing that William married into a very rich family or possibly is married to Dr. Ford’s daughter.<\/p>\n

But the more likely theory is that William falls in love with Dolores, is heartbroken because she never remembers him, is horrified at the things they do to her, and is trying to set her free. The deeper level is where he can download his consciousness into a host (probs Teddy) and live out his days blissfully with Dolores.<\/p>\n

This also points to the larger interests of the corporation… probably to have the world’s elite all live in this world and thereby solve the population problem.<\/p>\n

Just my 2 cents.<\/p>\n
