I&#8217;d like to know who has decided that characters have to be one or the other?<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t some crazy tin foil, I just think it seems odd that the word &#8220;human&#8221; hasn&#8217;t made it&#8217;s way into the dialogue. Sure, there are plenty of references to &#8220;people&#8221;, but most often we hear the staff talk about &#8220;guests&#8221; and &#8220;hosts&#8221;. Even more interesting? The significance being placed on our interpretation of the word &#8220;real&#8221;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Episode One &#8211; &#8220;You&#8217;re one of them, aren&#8217;t you? You&#8217;re not real.&#8221; [Boy to Delores]<\/li>\n<li>Episode Two &#8211; &#8220;I have someone back home. Someone&#8230;real.&#8221; [William to Clementine]<\/li>\n<li>Episode Three &#8211; &#8220;Remember, the hosts aren&#8217;t real. They aren&#8217;t conscious.&#8221; [Dr. Ford to Bernard]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So&#8230; what is &#8220;real&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second &#8211;<\/strong>There are plenty of theories about Dr. Ford playing God, but why does he have to be playing? Are we so sure that this world has anything to do with the future of humanity? Who&#8217;s to say this story isn&#8217;t about the beginning?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not convinced the hosts AREN&#8217;T human, at least in part. To that same end, I&#8217;m not so sure the Delos staff members are human, nor do I necessarily think they&#8217;re robots. I think they&#8217;re the personification of a God, or multiple Gods.<\/p>\n<p>Think about it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This &#8220;being&#8221; creates creatures that look like him. They&#8217;re given an intended &#8220;path&#8221;. If they don&#8217;t follow the rules, they&#8217;re condemned an eternity of standing lifeless in a damp, sweaty, dark, locker room underground. The creatures are asked to confess what they&#8217;ve done or what they know that goes against a narrative.
