Why Don’t They Kill Abernathy?

I love your podcast and am always excited to listen to you guys three times each week.

My question is this: Why don’t Charlotte and Stubbs simply kill Peter Abernathy as soon as they got ahold of him? If all they are really after is the data Charlotte had uploaded into Abernathy’s brain, why cant they just remove his control unit and hand that over to Delos? This seems a lot easier than having him bolted down in some insecure room in the Mesa.

Do you think this is just a convenient way for the show to prolong the plot and have Abernathy escape with Dolores, or could this be more evidence that there is something important about Peter Abernathy that Delos also wants?
