The Night King’s Strategy

Hi guys it’s Michael from The North (Of England!)

Just a quick thought following your accurate observation that in the closing scene you see White Walkers but no actual Night King or undead Dragon.

The speed of the undead advance is limited by the speed of it’s members who got the main are undead people who methodically plod along.

However the NK has a dragon and therefore he can move about a lot quicker. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they start next week’s episode not at Winterfall but at the Dreadfort with the NK laying waste to it and raising the newly created (and long dead) dead. If you look at a map of Westeros The Dreadfort is actually closer to the Last Heath than Winterfell is. As he then circles around with his newly formed army he can also raise all those dead from the battle of the bastards. There were thousands upon thousands dead in that one battle alone.

I’m thinking he will join the battle when it has been raging for a while. I think Winterfell is in deep shit tbh

On another note, I have heard a lot about the NK raising the Winterfell dead in the crypts but isn’t that kind of pointless?? Those dead are in crypts, locked away aren’t they. I mean there not just lying around in the open ready to reanimate and start slaying. Given that people know the NK can raise the dead it would dumb to put the women, children and Varys (lol) in a place where a horde of undead Starks can kill them surely.

Thanks for reading, love the show and can’t wait for Westworld season 3
