The Hound & The Night King

Hi there!

My name is Patry and I am writing you from Philly.

Just had a thought I wanted to share about the Hound. I was just discussing various theories with coworkers about who will die and who will survive the battle in episode 3.

I love the theory of the Night King heading to Kings Landing instead of Winterfell. In that case I can see the Mountain turning into a white walker and marching north to face his brother as a white walker. But if that theory ends up not being true, then I am pretty confident the Hound will survive the battle at Winterfell. He has to because we are all waiting for his final face off with his brother. I dont think the writers would take that away from us. If the Hound dies in the end, it has to be by the hand of his evil brother.

Anyways. I am obsessed with your podcast. You bring up so many subtle details that I would normally miss in the show and I also really enjoy all the theories your listeners share.

Another one I’d like to touch on is the idea that the attack on Witerfell will also be coming via the crypts. Could the reason the Night King is MIA be that he’s planning to attack from underground? Everyone expects him to come flying in on the dragon, there’s no better way to shock everyone than by literally making the opposite entrance into episode 3 than everyone expects. I just hope they are taking plenty of weapons down there because it is most definitely not the safest place. The safest place is across the sea at this point. Good on Yara.

I look forward to the shit show that will take place Sunday and I am eager to hear all your feedback on the next 4 episodes. Dang! What are we going to do when this is all over? Probably just start at the beginning again.
