Frustrated W/ GOT Twitter

As disappointed as I was with pacing and “convenient” plot lines (Euron & Jaime fight??) at points during the season, I felt like the finale was fitting and generally well done.

Then I scrolled through Twitter and saw the backlash from many, many fans who feel like they didn’t get the satisfying ending they wanted. I wanted to scream, “It”s not about you! It”s about the pains of war and the duplicity of human nature…that”s GOT!!” Ughhh.

People weren’t as pissed about Ned dying after we follow him all book/season 1. People weren’t as mad about the Red Wedding in book/season 3 after putting hope in Robb. So why are they on an uproar now?!? To me, it makes sense that GOT ends in an upsetting or controversial way.

Do you feel like we have a “customer is always right” mentality when it comes to consuming media?
