Seven Blessings, noble hosts of Shat on TV,

The season eight premiere was awesome, and I can’t wait for this Sunday’s episode, but something about the ways in which certain characters speak to each other seems off to me. Why don’t these characters stop to question the weird shit that is going on around them? For example, when Bran makes his comments about there not being enough time for formal greetings, how he’s “almost” a man, and how he’s waiting for an old friend, why doesn’t anyone turn to him and say “what the hell are you talking about?” Why would Dany and Jon just let these comments pass by without demanding to know how Bran can be so sure of this stuff? I know that if I were Jon Snow, and I saw my brother, Bran, after so many years, and he’s now weird as hell, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from asking for an explanation.

And Jon himself should do some explaining as well. When Arya asks him how he survived a knife to the heart, I suppose it’s snappier writing to have Jon reply with, “I didn’t,” but come on! If Arya were acting true to character, who is now supposed very wary and suspicious of everyone, wouldn’t she at least ask for a bit more detail than what Jon gave her?

Bottom line though, the show is as awesome as ever, and the show runners could give us an hour of Hodor’s hairy ass and I’d still be thrilled. Equally as thrilling are the Shat on TV and Shat the Movies podcasts, and I thank you all for your efforts in keeping us informed and entertained.
