Game Of Thrones Small Council

Hey guys,

Adam from Kansas City. I really enjoy the podcast and look forward to looking at GOT from a different perspective or two with you guys. Anyway, I am writing because of the comments made about the deaths expected in tonight’s episode. We saw a few major characters die, but not many. The character I want to focus on is Lyanna Mormont. Last week, I believe one of you said that there is no way they kill her because all it would do is upset the audience (or something along those lines). I feel that Lyanna’s death was really the only fitting way to kill her. She died fiercely and ferociously, fighting to the very end. I feel that many would have forgiven her if she ran from the battle when she realized she was a ten year old child. However, she stayed and fought. And she didn’t just fight any old wight. She fought an undead giant! And she killed it. She was gruesomely crushed in his hand, but she killed a freaking giant! If any character was deserving of such an epic death, it would be none other than Lyanna Mormont. It was the perfect way to end a character that was known for being a proud and ferocious leader. She lived up to every word her character said and she will be missed.
