How Can I Be the Only One That Thought Of This?

Have a Theory? Share It Now!
I know I missed the deadline this week’s epic episode #3 discussion. It takes a while to get through it all but I did and I can’t believe I’m the only one that read the Sansa and Tyrion crypt scene the way I did.
Ok, I’ve watched this episode 3 times, and pieces of it a few more times, and I still believe that Sansa was envisioning a dragon glass suicide pact. First to back up. I know this is a sensitive topic but and I know she has been through more than I could endure.Still though that doesn’t automatically elevate her beyond critical review. During the Battle of Blackwater what was she doing? She was praying and giving hope to the women and children that didn’t belong in the battle. Cersei meanwhile was of no use to her people and was only waiting for events to signal it was time for her to down the Essence of Nightshade, with Tommen at her side.
During the Battle of Winterfell it is Sansa who loses all hope, and in my humble opinion having the bravery to say you are helpless is not heroic when you are the Lady of Winterfell. Had Sansa been the leader she projects herself as she would be doing whatever she could down there. Even if it’s lying to her people about their chances. Nope, she given up….
Re watching that scene over and over I see Sansa, when she pulls out that dragon stone dagger, planning to go out on her own terms and kinda hoping Tyrion will join her. What else was she going to do with it?
No, my impression of that moment was Sansa had become more of Cersei than anyone would care to admit and she had no intention of being killed by a white. When she saw the time was right she was going to stick herself with the pointy end.
I hesitated to send this note. The podcast is incredible and a huge part of the days between episodes. The listener feedback and theories are very well thought out and often cause me to think a little deeper or point out something I’d totally missed. As I listened this week figured my theory brought up and when it didn’t I couldn’t sit back. I get too much out of this podcast to think myself helpless and decided to jump into the fray even if it turns out I’m 100% wrong (though I don’t think I am).
Anyway, it’s a moot point as we move on to episode 4.
Guys I love the work you put into this podcast – thank you very much!
