Outliers

In preparation for this season I went back and watched all of the third season. If you remember, in that season the outliers were the schizophrenics and others that did not play nicely within the master algorithm that kept the world in harmony. That was why they tried to lock all of the outliers away to keep them from disrupting things.
Caleb was one of these outliers last season so I immediately thought of that when he was able to shoot the Man in Black and disobey the parasitic programming. I assume this is also why they have kept him around all these years because the machines need to understand why their reprogramming doesnt work.
Also, if you were listening, one of the Soldiers tells C that another outlier has been identified so they need to move before the machines find them first.
