After this episode, it’s confirms Maeve’s free will is at best a clever illusion with Ford controlling her every move. In the last episode of season one, Felix told Maeve that all her actions including her attempt to leave the park were scripted. And in this episode Ford granted her the “God Mode”, likely because he has a bit less control in that part of the park and need her to reach her objective.

Even if she’s self-aware and has a fair amount of control on other hosts, she’s still follows Ford’s new narrative. The same can be said about Dolores controlled by Wyatt to take that train to wherever those tracks now go. And Bernard and William are also controlled and manipulated to reach their goals. The only wild cards are the Delos team and Abernathy who have their own agendas.
