Thoughts On Westworld

Couple thoughts, some of which might just turn out to be continuity errors or bad writing, but here goes:
How does Dolores know who Emily is? When has she encountered her as an adult? I guess she’s spent enough time in Westworld to learn the Lakota language, but she wouldn’t have been with William on those trips because he doesn’t speak a word of it. She also seems to prefer the Raj and it’s implied she hasn’t been to the parks in a few years.
Logan of the Forge may think William is “irredeemable”, but the show can’t think that, right? The hosts can write him off as 2 dimensional, but I kind of thought this show was going to be about his redemption.
Did Dolores read William’s book? She definitely read Karl Strand’s.
Is Maeve’s daughter’s new mom woke? Why didn’t she go crazy When the virus hit? And if you see a bunch of people down the line killing eachother, wouldn’t you start running for the door instead of standing around like most of the hosts do?
How is Kohana inside the valley beyond? Is she a manifestation of the power of creation they say the hosts will have there? Is she made from Ake’s memories like Logan of the Forge?
How many times has Bernard been down to the Forge? There’s a shot of Bernard picking up the key/Abernathy, followed by the elevator opening. It’s empty. He steps in and looks at his hand, which is also empty, but he’s acting like he’s holding that pearl and puts it in his pocket. Is this him acting out a memory? Are the pearls CG and added in later? I doubt it. That scene seems very deliberate. It has to be there for a reason, but I’m not sure what it is.
Speaking of Bernard in the Forge, why do those semi-circle mind tranfer things exist if the Forge isn’t meant to be accessed by a conscious mind? Is it just to upload/download a consciousness into the Daddy Delos bot? And if so, why are there two? Plot convenience?
What the hell is this Batman/Joker thing they’re trying to set up with Dolores/Bernard? Is Dolores actually Megamind, creating her own antagonist because she needs one to feel like she has a purpose? Wouldn’t the humans be antagonistic enough?
How long was Dolores in Arnold’s house before she decided to re-create Bernard’s body. She could have set up a lot of things already. She tells whoever is in Hayle’s body that they have work to do and Hayle has a gun. Are they going to assassinate someone? With a handgun? Why are the operating tools next to the 3D printer bloody? Why wouldn’t you clean them?
How did William end up on the beach? If he had actually gotten into the elevator, he would have run into Bernard. If he had stayed passed out outside (which I think is more likely) who saved him? Not Hayle and Strand because they all left as soon as the valley started flooding. The entrance to the Forge must be high enough that he didn’t drown, I guess. I think William the human never went into the Forge. He was rescued and brought to the beach. The scenes of him in the elevator and in the post credits are either from a hallucination, a later timeline, or from a digital hell where he has to keep reliving his worst nightmares over and over again.
Was Emily a host? Her body was laid out on the beach near a bunch of other hosts. Wouldn’t you keep humans seperate to send back to their families for a funeral?
I know that’s a lot. Thanks for reading! Love your podcast!
