Sansa, Pyres, And Battleships

I love the spectacle of the Battle of Winterfell, but this episode IS Game of Thrones. The politics, machinations, and human interest with a touch of violence had me focused on every word. Rhaegal going down caught me by surprise, and for everyone calling BS on Euron shooting him down, is anyone familiar with naval battles and history? The big guns of WWII could fire over 20 miles at sea. No computers. No satellites. Just a team of gunners, geometry, and skill. Battle of Leyte Gulf. Ships doing 25’knots zig zagging and firing on targets doing the same. People accept an arrow hitting a dragon, but a Scorpion XL launched by people who have clearly had time to train….yes very realistic.
Dany and her forces continue to suffer from their biggest problem; lack of intelligence and recon. They didn’t have intel on the Night King and his forces (Donthraki should have been out), the situation at Casterly Rock (no gold), and no eyes on Dragonstone, just sailing and flying in blind. With one dragon this is an even fight so it will be interesting to see how possibly Arya/Bron come into play here.
Love the show and thanks for all the effort you put into the coverage.
