Will Maester Aemon’s Choice Will Become Jon’s?

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

What do you think Maester Aemon’s influence and relationship with Jon Snow will have now that Jon is in the same position? Was the throw back to Maester Aemon’s speech a new foreshadow to the theory (that some people are leaning to) in Jon abdicating the throne? There is a question whether the Night’s Watch still even exists, but joining the Wildings in the North is likely to have the same effect that Aemon chose in taking the black?

The Night’s Watch is still so important to Jon. Not only Maester Aemon but Joer Mormont. Jon always seems to choose his family, but I believe there is an argument that the Night’s Watch is also his family. Did he chose to honor Leeana Mormont at the funeral pyres because she was a badass (which obviously was true) or was he stepping in for his other father figure, Joer Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, who he also had a very close relationship with?

Also, has everyone forgotten that Gilly has Mance Ryder’s son and Craster’s son is somewhere in the North? I know its too late for Game of Thrones to bring back that story line, but if I am not mistaken, she ultimately stole a future WhiteWalker from the late Night King when she did not sacrifice her son. Do they have enough time to at least formulate an idea that this child, when grown up, could be created into a new Night King/White Walker?

Y’all keep up the good work.
