Dear Dan and Dave,

Keep up the great work, it sad we only have one episode left of what will be the original Game of Thrones Series.

With that said I understand why people are emotional and conflicted about Daenerys death. However as I thought about it, I stopped trying to logic it from whether or not it was right from a character development point.

What Daenerys did was true to form of Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones is all about (in the words of Ramsay Snow): “If you think this has a happy ending you haven’t been paying attention.” Game of Thrones is beheading Ned Stark AFTER he admitted he was a traitor. Game of Thrones is the Red Wedding. Game of Thrones is the purple Wedding. Game of Thrones is to go low when others go high.

I understand that to some people, her past actions do not put her on a path that would end with this. I also understand to some people, she has insinuated that this is who she is. Stripping all that down the writers had a choice they could go high or they could go low. I believe they went with the decision that best reflected the nature of what Game of Thrones was, is, and will be.

This show messes with the idea of a happy ending which is something our society loves. We need closure and like to see it all end in a sunset. This isn’t Disney, this is Game of Thrones. It’s hard to see that since we are soo close to the end with the hope being “and they lived happily ever after” we should stop looking for that and try to enjoy the show for its conclusion. Just how I see it.

I hope you guys enjoy the series Finale, hopefully, you guys will do the main HBO GoT prequel series.
