Hey guys,

I loved the episode and within the first few minutes cried at Jorah’s watery eyes waiting to charge and laughed when the Dothraki horse came running back with the closed caption “neighs hoarsely”.

I understand the criticism that defeating the Night King only took one battle, but he was not going to let anyone escape. Once the battle started it was not ending until only one side was left.

Production loved people breaking through railings to the ground below, it happened about 19 times.

The Stark wights were anticlimatic. I wish they would have been a bigger part or not at all. Maybe a few we recognized (Rickon!).

While the Night King and Bran stared at each other I yelled “It’s Arya!” then immediately cringed. I was glad it WAS Arya, but not with Bran’s face sitting in his wheelchair.

I thought direwolves were bigger.

I’m glad the book and show have become so separate. We can get the depth and ridiculously complex history from the books that is impossible for the show to get into and a big HBO budget gives us beautiful visuals. The characters we love are brought to life two very different ways, and we appreciate them both. Now George RR Martin needs to finish writing.

Excited but sad for the last 3 episodes,
Lauren in California
