Series Finale – Spring Is Coming

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

Hi guys,

Thanks for doing the podcast. I’ve tried other ones that talk about this amazing series and you guys offer the most intelligent and amusing of them, so thanks. (Example: one podcast host seriously suggested that Missendei could be pregnant)!

Anyway, I don’t have anything too elaborate but I have a theory about the grass and forgive me because I don’t think I’ll be the only one who thinks this.

I find it interesting that in the known history of Westeros, it was said that a long summer always follows a longer winter. And one of the main concerns that Westeros had, especially Winterfell, was that they just had a long summer and they had food stores for two years at best, but believing that winter is going to be a lot longer.

The lands across the sea, similarly geographically located, has no concerns of winter or mentions of winter.

I believe that winter remained a factor in Westeros because the Wight Walkers and the undead remained on the continent.

Not only is it significant that they are no longer a threat to man as they are now defeated, but their downfall also ushered in the end of winter. Winter lasted, what, a year or two at most? It can’t be just a coincidence that spring is coming right after the Night King dies.

That’s all I’ve got, I’m sure you guys will be flooded this week as it is the last week. Thanks again for all the work you do, and I’m looking forward to the next new episode of Shat the Movies.

Sincerely Ami Wight – Graham

(Wight is seriously my last name, I’m not joking)
