On the Throne – My First Raven to the Small Council Yay

Hey guys,

I absolutely love your GOT podcast. It”s the one I look forward to the most. Enough pleasantries, let”s get on with it. I am 100% team Dany and I hope that she ends up in complete power. Missandei”s last words really got to me and I don’t understand how people fail to see that along with Rhaegal”s murder, that was the last straw for her. Even after she went back to Dragonstone, the failures of her people continued. First, Tyrion had already told Varys about Jon instead of going to her directly, then Varys immediately flips on her “for the realm” and plots her murder, then Jon fails her by not only rejecting her love but for telling his family the truth about his parents. Like WTF Jon, if you don’t want to rule, why is the truth important? She was right about having him keep that secret. The moment she was perched up on the wall with Drogon, hearing the surrender bells ring, I was whispering to myself “burn them all, burn them all”, and even though her going apeshit was a possibility in the back of my mind, I couldn’t actually believe my eyes. I’m so freaking happy the writers went there and burned down King”s Landing along with peoples deeply thought out theories and their juvenile desires of a “happy ending”. Every time that Dany has failed to get what she wants, it has been because of the hesitation provided by her advisors. Dany stopping after the bells rang was Tyrion”s plan, not hers. I believe in that moment, looking at the Red Keep, she said to herself “fuck it, I’m done hesitating and believing in these people”. So she burnt them all to hell and will be ready to start a new world. I still believe she can be a great ruler of the 7 kingdoms. Jaime and Cersei’s death was bullshit for me. They”re both horrible people so their romantic last moments were not deserved. Not only that, but they are 2 very important main characters that have been with us since episode 1. They deserved at least a whole episode leading to their inevitable deaths; instead, it felt rushed and was completely overshadowed by what Dany was doing in the background. Imagine if Jaime was heading to Kings Landing to kill Cersi to avoid a massacre from Dany, but in the moment of seeing Cersi so vulnerable, his weakness for her took over and his protective instincts kicked in. That slight change would”ve completed his arc for me because it would”ve meant that even though he has changed for the better, his love for Cersei, as much as he tried to push it away by being with someone pure like Brienne, is a force bigger than him and therefore would lead to his death as well. Overall, I loved the episode! I”d like to point out the scene when Grey worm, Jon, Ser Davos and the rest of the army came in ready to kick ass; that scene gave me a huge lady boner, even Ser Davos was looking like a snack lol. Looking forward to this Sunday….. All Hail Queen Daenerys
