Complicated Feelings

Hey Guys,

I’d like to say this episode cinematically was probably the best in the entirety of GoT show and definitely in the top 5 in TV history. The Night King was absolutely terrific and menacing. The moment when Drogon’s fire didn’t work and smirked that “Bitch you thought” smile to Dany was honestly top moment for me in the entirety of the show. Despite that, I’d say what seemed a thrilling and evocative journey of the great threat of Others during episode and the show in general was severely let down. I have very complicated feelings about this. I feel extremely cheated and yet satisfied at the same time. While I don’t have the issue of Arya being the one to deliver the final blow to NK, how the way they did it was such D&D plot armour like you mean to tell me that that NK’s generals wouldn’t have been able to sense Arya and also where did she even jump from?? I’d have loved if Jon had been fighting NK with his sword (made lightbringer) and then Arya could’ve made the final blow. It just seems to anti climatic that the great big threat ends so soon. It only highlights the point GRRM made that the show could’ve gone for a few more seasons if need be. Secondly, while Theon’s arc was ended beautifully (I teared up) and the absolute heroic deaths of Lyanna and Jorah as well as others, none of the main characters died…are they to be killed during Cersei’s war? I’ll have to reserve judgement on that but I was expecting more deaths. I have other minor complaints like why did no one fashion Dany some armour and why did she stupidly park Drogon after saving Jon? Why did Bran enter into the Matrix?

Either way, look forward to listening to your thoughts.

P.S Im glad that Rhaegal and Ghost are okay seeing next episode preview. They should run away together and get away from this foolishness and maybe start the real Song of Ice and Fire
