Littlefinger and Sansa Compared to Eowyn and Gríma Wormtongue in Lord of the Rings

I think it’s interesting to think of Wormtongues plan for Éowyn in Lord of the Rings and Littlefinger’s plan for Sansa. Littlefinger’s only real hope with Sansa now is to isolate her and remove all hope just like Wormtongue did to Éowyn. I believe Littlefinger’s will betray everyone around Sansa so much that it will be devastating to all.

However, it doesn’t matter how much Sansa knows or finds out because eventually, Littlefinger will be there and simply wear her down despite the hate it engenders in Sansa she will be so low Littlefinger will be able to ensnare her and she will fall to his advances under an almost trance of despair. I can see, in a homage to Tolkien, Sansa saying “Leave me alone snake” and Littlefinger saying “Oh but you are alone”. Also, this scene was when Éowyn’s brother was lying dead on the bed.
