GOT Story Changes

Hello guys

You asked for our thoughts about some possible different storylines. Well, I decided to keep the same storyline but change whose point of view we will be seeing it from. Got a few of these so sent more than one email. Hopefully, these add something to the story.

From the perspective of a wall climber from the episode “The Watchers on the Wall”. Talking to his boss:

“Um, hi, yes, really sorry to bother you I know you are busy, but my scaling hooks aren’t working, any chance I can get another one? Really feels like I have two left-handed ones. No? Ok, well I need to know what to do now because I was really excited about scaling the wall and now I’m just a little down about not being able to do it. Can I help out a giant with the gate? It seems really important. Do what? Shoot arrows? You do know that the wall is like super high and our arrows aren’t getting all the way up there, right? It seems like a lost cause. You know I’ll just hang out over here and when someone falls, let’s be honest it’s going to happen, I’ll take their RIGHT HANDED hook. I mean whoever is in charge of the hooks really needs to do a better inventory count. Just feel like we have a lot going on here and having the right equipment is a must. You don’t like my attitude? Well, I don’t like your leadership ability. This is going in my upward evolve.”

Same wall climber a few minutes later

“I feel like I had a bad attitude earlier and I want to apologize. It was just a crazy day. First, they shot some arrows at me, not too bad. Second, they dropped some barrels that were on FIRE! Did you see those barrels? Really great idea, I will give them that. Then to end it all they used this giant hook thing and knocked most of us all of the wall. It swung down and just knocked them right off. I saw a hanging hand. Sadly it was his left hand so I couldn’t even use his hook. I just said to myself “Self” sometimes I say that, just a little joke to brighten my day, “Self, let’s just climb back down, wake up early tomorrow, and climb that wall” no pun intended. Figure I will just take a hot bath and have a little wine, we got that boxed stuff right, and reflect. Anyway, how did the giants do? A struggle? That’s not good because I think all the wall climbers would agree going through the gate would be better. Am I right guys? Here is a crazy idea, if one of those giants could lift the door open, why not get two of them to lift it and KEEP IT OPEN? I’m just saying us wall climbers got it rough, if we could go through the door it would probably be much more efficient. I know we are paid by the hour, just seems like if we can get this done in a timely manner, with less people dying, it would be better for all of us. Ok, you don’t like that idea? How about we just stick a pin in it and revisit it later? Ok, I’ll be over here. Let me know when we attack again.”
