Hello from Canada!!

So, Ive been binge-watching season 2 (Im too impatient to wait on a weekly basis for new episodes). Respectively, Ive also been binge-watching your podcast for WestWorld because it is absolutely amazing, I love all you guys and how you add your thoughts to the show–it makes it easier for me to understand whats been going on within the show being able to hear you guys (and Karey/Carey (sp?) and the fans) put pieces together that I wouldn’t of thought of.

I just finished listening to the episode 2 podcasts and–im sorry i cant remember who, I think it was Gene–who said they didnt like how the natives were being portrayed as bloodthirsty. Now, Im on episode 8 of the show (not the podcast just yet) and I know you guys have all seen the other side of the natives that is kinder and much more rounded as characters as a whole. I just wanted to pop my head in and say that the image being portrayed earlier in the series of the natives was the way that westerners saw them, as we were in WestWorld and were always along a westerners narrative. I dont know the specifics of the tension that brewed between natives and westerners historically, but i know it was a bloody one. That early portrayal was a good example of “Whos side of history am I listening to” because history, more often than not, is written by the victors and the best way to give yourself a good ego stroke is to say you defeated some god awful beings and protected your land/town/etc.

Anyway, wanted to throw my 2 cents in (which, in Canada, rounds down to nothing now so I guess we need a new saying) and sort of defend the show I guess? First time Ive ever wrote in, in case you cant tell from what Im sure is a little jumbled thought above.
