Alleged Incompetence Of The Westworld QA Security Forces

Hey Guys,

We’ve been wondering this season why the QA troopers haven’t used more powerful weaponry, such as attack helicopters, jets, drones, electromagnetic pulses, etc., to easily defeat the hosts and reduce QA casualties. Recall the scene near the beginning of season 2 episode 1 when Strand pointed out to a Chinese officer that the Chinese government had given Delos authority over the island.

We don’t know the terms of that agreement, but surely it would place limits on the Delos security forces, including limits on their weaponry. My guess is that if Delos needs more powerful weapons they’ll need to request assistance from the Chinese… an undesirable last resort.

Also, the United Nations or the nation in which Delos is chartered might place limits on corporate armies. Regarding the QA trooper who fell for Angela’s feminine wiles in the Cradle… Since hosts don’t have superhuman strength or speed, a macho experienced soldier would be confident he could defend himself in hand-to-hand combat against an unarmed slender woman. It makes more sense to question Dolores’ competence… neglecting to provide Angela with an explosive, which they presumably could have taken from a QA corpse.
