Bran”s Plan

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

Dear guys,

I was listening to your deep dive of episode 6 and I have to disagree about Bran”s motivations, I don’t think he was using his powers as a power play. I don’t think the three eye raven has any interest in such mortal foolery. Not that the show makes it clear cause it doesn’t, but my interpretation of Bran”s powers is that not only can he remember all past but he can see all possible futures. The theory is that the future is not linear but unlimited possibilities depending one whether certain events do or not occur. We all can agree that Dany and her dragons and her army were essential for defeating the night king. So prior to the Great War Dany and Jon”s alliance was necessary. But Bran sees all futures and he knows that Dany, if let to rule, will be a Tyrant the likes of which the world has not seen. I mean after the fire and blood of Kings Landing can anyone doubt that one way or another her true nature was going to come forth. Let”s have a thought experiment let say Jon never finds out about his lineage. They unite to defeat the night king and then go and defeats Cersei. Maybe she doesn’t destroy the entire city but just the red keep. Killing thousands instead of 100s of thousands. Do we really think she gonna stop at that? No, she is going demand futility from everyone including Sansa and force that through fire and blood. With her power now supreme do we think she is going to stop, no she going to try to conqueror the world? She is a threat to the world almost as big as the night king and must be defeated. So Bran plants the seed of division which ultimately leads to Jon killing Dany. Yes, it also means he becomes king. But I think that Bran is only interested in the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. He can manifest that principle cause he sees all futures. Hence he is the perfect agent for change and to start to set the world on a path to peace.

Sincerely

Josh from NYC
