Hey Guys,

Something to look out for in the up coming episodes I don’t think I have heard discussed yet:

1. The return of the fly (no pun intended) I don’t think this is an accident. S1E1 opening scene, the fly on Deloris’ face.
S1E1, 41:10, the sheriff glitches when the fly lands on his face. S2E5, Deloris tells the story of how the disease of the herd was spread by flies. S2E6, 51:38, you hear a distinct fly buzz right as teddy goes terminator on the park security dude. not sure what this all means but why waste screen time with that dialog if it means nothing.

2. now that we know the cradle is the matrix for hosts, some dialog from earlier episodes makes more sense. recurring phrase from every episode, “is this now”.
S2E4, 28:59, Bernard says “Elsie, I’m not here with you now am I?” then at 29:40, “they weren’t building hosts, not exactly”.
but the control units (cupcakes) were red, not white.
non-cradle/matrix units? human brain replacements? Mr. Delos experiments is a different type of control unit?

3. religious imagery.
lots to go on here but the most obvious I thought were:
S2E2, 21:40, the solders having a meal. imagery of the last supper. Deloris then kills and resurrects him.
To be born in her image.
But he rebels, the fall from grace.

one could go on and on about original sin and the gift of knowledge relating to the hosts journey. (wisdom can not be obtained without life experience)
is Deloris still evolving now that she remembers HER decisions and is observing the consequences? (Teddy) (you have discussed Deloris changing Teddy , just not in the context of an overarching religious theme) why use the religious trope if it doesn’t foreshadow what is to come?

that’s probably enough for now.
🙂
