Delores Is On A Loop

I believe Delores is on a loop to lead the hosts to their death.

1. She talks about the valley beyond as the goal. This is where she is leading her people.
2. When they find the dead hosts they are in a lake. The comment is made that the lake is not on the map.
3. Bernard says that he killed them.

Okay so what is a lake but a valley that is filled with water. If I was worried that the hosts might rebel wouldn’t it be prudent to put in a fail safe? I would need to take out the rebels in one fell swoop but why search all over the park when I can have all the sentient hosts gather in one spot. A spot where I have it rigged so water can be flooded in. Delores can kill the non sentient hosts and lead all the sentient ones into my fail safe. Then all I need is Bernard to push the button, the flood, then no more rebels
