Dolores Is Not A Meat Puppet

Hey Guys,

Love your podcasts (insert all of the usual faithful fan stuff) I listen to several Westworld podcasts and really enjoy the camaraderie of the smart sci-fi fans following this show. Which is why I want to scream every time I hear people wonder why Dolores can take 17 body shots and keep on coming but Maeve can’t. It’s simple to me.

We were directly shown that Dolores is an old generation bot, a flesh and blood shell over a mechanical core. Maeve on the other hand was completely remade into a full on flesh bot in the episode where she forced the Wonder Twins to do so to rid herself of the bomb in her spine. Dolores can take body shots with no problem but like all hosts, that direct shot to the head in the last episode shut down her brain marble, thus “killing” her. Maeve, being flesh and blood, can be taken out just like you and me. Now, if Dolores can still take a body shot next season after her rebuild in the finale, guess my theory is shot. You guys are great.
