Dragon Power

Hi!

First, thank you for treating the show fairly by analyzing different viewpoints and realizing this is a TV show, and as much as we all love it, the outcomes aren’t up to us-So we can just enjoy the ride!

Wondering if the reason for the difference in the power of the dragon fire has anything to do with the state of mind Daenerys is in at the moment? In episode 4 where Rhaegal goes down, Dany was calm, wistful, Happy, feeling comfortable and safe, then BLAM! Dragon down. Her guard was down. In Kings Landing, she was ENRAGED!! Seething! Looking for revenge! Blood and fire all the way. Could that be why Drogon’s fire was so explosive, and his maneuvers so effective? The dragons read her moods, where she wants them to go, etc. There’s a connection. Maybe his performance comes from her intensity?

Take care!

You’re closer to the answer than most. In the books, as well as on the show (lightly I might add), but basically drogon is said to be Balerion the great Reincarnated. it’s a huge explanation but I’ll try to be brief. Anyways just like humans. The dragons differ in size strength ability…. you don’t have to be a book reader to enjoy the book fire & blood which is essentially a Targaryen History Book. I know, it’s a history book, but don’t let it fool you. It’s a really worth a look. You can pick it up and flip to a page and read about various dragons in Westerosi history, they all differed in effectiveness when it came to battles. I am a book reader so I’m not 100 percent sure whether a non book reader would enjoy it. At least look into it. I think it’s really cool.
