Episode 8 – Awakening Types and Conflict To Come

A quick few comments Guys (and Gal) on Episode 8,

1.There are two types of “awakening” paths
a. Driven by love/affinity – Maeve & Akecheta
b. Driven by hate – Dolores

These emotions are probably the most basic ones that humans have and are our greatest strength (bonds of love/affinity/community have allowed us to build civilization’s) and our greatest weakness (hate can cause us to destroy our world via war).

I see a full blown showdown of these 2 paths coming in season 3 – we already got a taster from the Ghost Nation POV video in episode 1 that Strand and Barford watched.

2. Akecheta story has help create a “human” connection with the audience that I think was lacking in the Maeve and her daughter storyline.

Overall, one of the most emotional episodes in the season especially the scenes of Akecheta’s wandering the WW complex and in cold storage.
