I was listening to the deep dive this morning for a knight of the seven kingdoms. The idea that the white walkers could surround Winterfell and they wouldn’t be prepared for an attack like that and they may not be but in season 2 Maester Luwin tells Theon about escape tunnels shortly before he gives a battle speech to the iron born when Ramsey Bolton is outside the gate about how the battle of Winterfell would be remembered forever. The bravery of 20 fighting against 500 seems like a bit of a parallel to what we’ll be seeing next episode. Maybe Theon was just 6 seasons early, I don’t know but I wanted to share.
