Ford Is Already Crazy

This week when I was listening to your discussions on the deep dive, I had to pause and laugh. I find it comical that there is any question in your minds about status of Ford’s sanity. In the deep dive this week you discussed the idea of Ford losing his sanity while hitching a ride in Bernard’s head. I think that the sequence where Ford takes over for Bernard and shoots the guards clearly demonstrates that Ford is nuts.

Ford seems to be enjoying himself. On top of that there have been hints throughout the show that Ford has no empathy for his fellow humans. Perhaps Ford was set on his path to insanity as soon as Arnold committed suicide. After all, this plan bare minimum had to take a few years to figure out and set into motion. Its too elaborate to just be a few months of work. Also, Arnold’s suicide seems to be Ford’s Cornerstone. If we follow this line of thinking another question and potential loophole shows up. If Ford is already nuts, would he be affected by the cognitive Plateau? Just something to chew on.
