Game of Thrones Ending

Guys,

Love the show, been listening to all of your Game of Thrones coverage. I was listening today and heard the little thing about sending in some notes about changing of the seasons. I wrote this up today and while it’s not 500 words or less, it broke down how I wish they had done the show. I tried to keep it to some major points in each episode, but I rambled a bit.

I’m pretty sure my wife things I’m a little strange, but I figured if anyone would want to read it, it would be you guys. It was also pretty therapeutic to write this all down and kind of made me realize just how hard it was to end this show in a halfway decent fashion.

Game of Thrones – Alternate Ending for Seasons 7, 8, and 9:

Season 7

Episode 1

Arya, as Walder Frey, kills his family, tells them the North came for House Frey.
Start out on Dany’s trip to Dragonstone across the sea. She meets with advisors
and learns of Cersei naming herself queen. They talk about alliances and who else she could
potentially get on her side.
We see Jon and Sansa rallying the North. Jon talks about the army of the dead and
what they must do. Tells them about fire, dragon steel and valaryian steel being what they
Dany arrives at Dragonstone and we see her reactions to the place she was born.

Episode 2

Jon, now king, begins to form a battle plan for the dead. He sends out rangers to
search for the location of the army of the dead.
Bran arrives at Castle Black. We begin to learn more about his powers – we see
visions of the past related to the Night King.
Cersei learns of Dany’s landing. She speaks with Jaimie and Qyburn about a plan
of attack.
Dany learns about Jon and talks with Tyrion about uniting with the north.

Episode 3

Bran, warging, sees the night king on the march. Through another vision he learns
that Jon is the one to fight the dead and leaves for Winterfell.
The ranger returns with news about the army of the dead, and at the same time Jon
receives a raven about Dany in Dragonstone asking to meet. Davos thinks that the dragon fire
could help in the fight against the dead so Jon decides to go. Jon also learns of dragon glass
from Sam Tarly, which furthers his desire to go that way. Knowing the resistance he has faced
in the North, Jon decides to get a wight to bring with to Dany as proof of his mission.
The realm prospers under Cersei.
Arya arrives in Winterfell.

Episode 4

Jon goes into the north to find a wight, leaving Sansa in charge. Littlefinger begins
to start playing games.
Dany meets with her advisors about battle plans. Tells them the unsullied have
already left for Casterly Rock.
Euron Greyjoy arrives in King’s Landing to meet with Cersei. Awe of Jaimie starts,
more about Jaimie than Cersei.
We see Jon get a wight and narrowly escape.

Episode 5

Jon heads to dragonstone. Brings Ghost with him.
Bran arrives at Winterfell. He explains to Sansa and Arya what he can do through
stories of Ned’s death, Sansa’s wedding night, Arya heading north instead of south, and also
about Littlefingers betrayal of Ned.
The unsullied attack Casterly Rock, while Cersei attacks Highgarden.

Episode 6

Dany and Jon meet. It doesn’t go well.
Cersei, rich from Highgarden, pays off bank.
Dany learns of fall of Highgarden and decides to attack.
Loot train attack.

Episode 7

Jorah arrives at Dragonstone.
Point 2 Dany and Jon meet after she arrives and talk about Dragon glass and Jon shows her
the wight.
Jaimie goes into speak with Cersei about dragons and surrender.
Sansa and Arya begin to plot about Littlefinger
Dany, decides she must help fight the dead, begins to formulate plan.

Episode 8

Point 1- Davos smuggles Tyrion into Kings Landing and finds Gendry
Tyrion and Jaimie meet to discuss the north and getting Lannistar troops committed
to cause.
Jon, mining dragon glass, begins to bond with Dany when he comes across her
with the dragons. He starts forming connection with Rhaegal. Dany meets Ghost. Dany tells
Jon she will go north with him & dragons to fight the dead.

Episode 9

Tyrion and Davos return from King’s Landing. Dany finds out Cersei will not help.
Jon sends Davos to the north with dragon glass and Gendry to start forging
weapons in case plan doesn’t work. Tells Davos he will meet him at Winterfell.
Sam arrives at Winterfell and talks with Bran about jon. They discover his lineage.
Jon further bonds with Rhaegal and Rhaegal allows him to ride him. Dany notices
and questions it, but has also begun to develop feelings. Notably, Dany does not allow Jon to
ride, rather Rhaegal allows Jon to ride.
Trial of Littlefinger.

Episode 10

Dany, Jon and the dragons arrive in the north to fight the Night King. They try to burn him,
but it does nothing. He ends up taking down Viserion. Last shot of the season is Viserion
becoming a Wight Dragon.

Season 8

Episode 1

We see the Night King flying a dragon with hi troops below, heading towards the
All seen through Bran warging.
Jon, consoles Dany over death of Viserion Romantic feelings begin and they kiss
for the first time. Jon bends the knee.
Sansa receives Davos and dragon glass. Begins preparation and sends ravens for
meant to come to Winterfell
Cersei and Jaimie Fight and Jaimie threatens to leave for the North.

Episode 2

Jon and Dany arrive in Winterfell with the two dragons. Sansa greets coldly.
Dany sends for her men.
Jon speaks with Sansa about why he bent the knee to Dany
Jon meets with Arya.
Jon meets with Bran.

Episode 3

Euron Greyjoy takes out portion of Dany’s fleet and men as they sail north. Yara
and Ellaria are captured.
Greyworm & Unsullied arrive from Casterly Rock. Missandei and Grey worm
consummate relationship.
Jon and Dany continue to grow closer as Jon defends bending his knee to the
mend of the North.
Jaimie leaves Cersei to head North to fight for the living.

Episode 4

Qyburn unveils bigger crossbow to Cersei.
Arya and Gendry meet and begin to rekindle old flames
Euron arrives in Kings Landing. Ellaria killed.
Dany learn’s of Euron’s attack and questions being in the North instead of attacking
King’s Landing first.

Episode 5

Jon is riding Rhaegal, Dany follows him to favorite spot and they consummate their
Sam and Bran talk about telling Jon.
Dany and Sam meet, Sam learns about burning of family and then confronts Jon
about lineage.
Jaimie arrives in Winterfell

Episode 6

Bran sees Night King break through the wall
The Trial of the Kingslayer. Bran tells everyone to calm down because Night King is
Jaimie apologizes to Bran; Bran gets cryptic about him needing to be here now.
Cersei receive word about the dead breaching the wall and tells Qyburn about the
plan for the Golden Company

Episode 7

Through a vision of Bran’s we see the fall of the Last Hearth.
A battle plan is formed for Winterfell as the last stand of the North.
The Hound, Beric, and Thoros arrive, Arya and the hound meet again.
Brienne is nighted as the whole group prepares for the battle.
Jon tells Dany about his true lineage.

Episode 8

The battle of winter fell – not much different except Ghost protects Bran. Jorah Dies, Theon
Dies, Beric Dies, Thoros Dies, Mel dies, other minor characters die.

Episode 9

Post battle, next couple of days – mourning
Distraught over Jorah’s death, Dany not seeing anyone. She is also distressed
about Jon. Vary’s starts to witness isolation.
Cersei learns of battle and cost
Burning of bodies of those who fell
Somber feast, turns joyous after wine and ale consumed. Brienne and Jaimie
hookup, Dany is further isolated from the love of the people.
Episode 10
Strategy session for the south and Cersei. Sansa makes case for independent
Tension between Dany and Jon mounts. He maintains he loves her, but is not as
affectionate and is less engaged.
Cersei unveils plans for crossbows on Euron’s ships and King’s Landing.
We meet the Golden Company with Elephants
Jon tells Sansa and Arya about himself. Sansa starts to formulate ideas. We see
there reactions.

Season 9

Episode 1

The north heads south
The Golden Company is seen preparing. Harry Strickland meets on Cersei’s war
council about what has and needs to be done.
Euron and Cersei hook up
Sansa tells Tyrion about Jon.

Episode 2

Drogon and Rhaegal, flying alone while Jon and Dany watch from the boat are
nearly taken out by Euron, but they escape. Then Euron takes aim on Dany and Jon’s ship and
they barely escape. Jon realizes he still has feelings for Dany, but can sense a change in her.
Missandei is captured by Euron, who toys with her.
Tyrion and Vary’s talk about Jon
The hound and Arya leave for King’s Landing

Episode 3

Dany begins showing signs of paranoia now that she has lost her 2 closest advisors
and doesn’t know what to feel about Jon.
Jon finds out that Sansa has told Tyrion
Tyrion speaks further with Vary’s and learns of his treason.
Cersei has Missandei, then she tells Euron she is pregnant and that he must defend
Hound and Arya meet Hot Pie
Jaimie finds out about Cersei taking Missandei, heads to King’s Landing to save

Episode 4

Dany, on advice from Tyrion, goes to speak with Cersei. Ends with Cersei not giving
Jon has assembled the army out front of King’s Landing. Golden Company is also setup.
Dany finds out about Vary’s Treason and burns him in front of Jon and King’s
Incites a fear in the people.
Jon meets with Dany about the battle, she confronts him about betrayal and a
coldness between them sets in further.

Episode 5

Jaimie arrives in King’s Landing and is captured trying to get in. Tyrion is
confronted by Dany, but decides to free his brother anyway
Dany announces to King’s Landing that they have the chance to leave the tyrant
that is Cersei and that she will spare them. After having seen Vary’s burn they do not believe
Tyrion asks for one last request, that if the bells toll, do not burn the city. She
agrees, but is continuing to be isolated from everyone.
Hound and Arya enter into King’s Landing.
Missandei is executed.

Episode 6

Dany, enraged takes Dragons with Jon and burns ships and bigger crossbows.
Euron killed by dragonfire. Golden Company eliminated easily.
Jaimie moves to find Cersei.
Jon, shot by arrow falls off of Rhaegal and narrowly survives.
Rhaegal is shot by luck crossbow bolt to the eye and dies after bells have tolled.
Dany, fully mad, burns the city.
Clegane bowl. Arya leaves and we see the fall of King’s Landing through her eyes.
Jaimie meets Cersei, gets her to the basement and they are killed by rubble.

Episode 7

Jon, Tyrion and Davos survey the damage. Witness unsullied killing troops after
Tyrion finds Jaimie and Cersei and weeps.
Dany gives speech to troops and kings landing survivors.
Tyrion quits, gets locked up
Jon confronts Dany and learns of her true nature and what she is going to do.

Episode 8

Jon meets Tyrion in his cell. They talk about Dany and what Jon must do.
Jon takes group of Northman, leaves them outside, kills Dany in throne room and
then exits and confesses.
Drogon melts down the iron throne and takes Dany’s body.
Jon is confronted after his confession and fights with Greyworm. Each injury the
other, at the end Jon agrees to go to a holding room to await punishment.

Episode 9

The North, under Sansa, arrive to get Jon
The other lords convene to survey King’s Landing and decide the fate of the realm
Trial of Tyrion; he is freed
Upon freedom Tyrion asks who will be ruler? Sam makes his suggestion for Jon as
he is the true Heir and was acting in the best interest of the World. Lords and Ladies nod in
agreement and Jon is brought out, freed from shackles.
Jon abdicates his throne. Tells all that he would rather be in the North away from
the squabbles and fights of men. Tells Bran he doesn’t want it, just like him.
Bran, who also doesn’t want to be king suggest a council of rulers. Independent
kingdoms are setup.
