I just discovered your podcast on Monday, and have listened to your theories for Episodes 2 and 3 of Season 8. I look forward to revisiting the rest!

On the question of how Arya got past all the wights and white walkers to be in place to get the jump on the Night King, it’s possible she used her Faceless Man skills to blend in with the horde, but that doesn’t give her a raised vantage point from which to attack. I think the opening scenes in Episode 2, where we follow the boy who is climbing to get a view of Jon and Dany arrive with the Unsullied and Dothraki, are a callback to more than just Jaime’s shame at pushing Bran out of the tower. Bran’s childhood climbing network included not only towers but also trees, and included the Godswood. And Arya knew of and participated in that climbing network. I think Arya used her childdhood pathways to arrive in an adjacent tree in the Godswood and launched from there.
