GOT ending re-write

Hey Guys,

First and foremost, thanks for the great podcast that I sadly discovered too late in the game. Heard that you were soliciting re-writes and I wanted to add my two cents. Just by adding more episodes and explaining everything better, almost everything could have been solved. The ending I would have had would have had Dany telling Jon how she was going to liberate everywhere with a ruler and breaking the wheel even further than what she was talking about in previous seasons. Jon gets more worried as the relationships with Sansa and Arya become more strained. Due to this, Bran goes into the past to see the Mad King. Obviously more could be added to the story. Bran’s dabbling in the past causes Areys to go mad and we see the flashback where he is yelling “Burn them all!” Bran comes back with answers and after telling Jon, and with Dany’s threats to Sansa and other kingdoms, along with Tyrion’s information, Jon makes the decision to kill Dany in front of the throne before she is able to sit just like what happened in the show. Then after Drogon destory’s the throne, the Unsullied run into the room to discover Jon mounted on Drogon. Realizing that they don’t stand a chance, Grey Worm orders them to stand down. Jon could give a speech how he doesn’t want the throne. He dismounts, Drogon takes Dany, leaves, and it cuts to the lords council scene with Tyrion on trial. Everything in the council scene is the same except Jon’s fate. The Unsullied pack up shop and move to Naath. The council elects Bran. We have the montage of everyone except Jon. Jon’s show ending would be the same with him reuniting with Ghost, Tormund, and the rest of the Wildings going out beyond the wall. Credits roll. Mid-credits scene would be slowing panning up a hill where we see several dragon eggs. Credits roll continue rolling and then as an end credits scene, Bran is sitting alone in his room. The camera slowly pans in to his face. The screen goes black and all we hear is the same ice sound from where the Night King changed the baby in season 4 signifying Bran possibly turning into the new Night King.

I think this would have solved a lot of the problems of Bran allowing all the bad stuff to happen. If Bran is evil or the new Night King, then that would show that he truly played the Game of Thrones better than anyone else. The ending we got didn’t make much sense unless Bran is evil in some way. Just my two cents. I’d be interested in hearing what your thoughts are. Keep doing what you are doing and I look forward to future podcasts from you guys.
