Hidden Scenes Or Plot Holes

Hi all from North East England,

I love listening to you 4 and like someone mentioned in the Telegraph I get more excited about watching Westworld SO I listen to the podcast and can have a one-way conversation about it with yous 3 times a week. Having said that, Westworld along with Game of Thrones and Rick & Morty are the only shows I feel are worth watching TV for.

There are a couple of things I thought I could maybe put some different thoughts to & add to the discussion if you are still having another Telegraph.

HOW DOES DELORES KNOW WHO EMILY IS?

1. Maybe, being a robot, she would be able to recognise the facial structure of a person and backwards engineer their age-progression. 2. There may have been hidden scenes we didn’t see where Delores could have seen Emily as an adult or in her late teens, maybe she played piano at Juliet’s wake for example or seen her at some type of Gala.

HOW DOES DELORES GET BACK IN HER BODY?
We see Hale leave The Park with Delores’ “Brain” (LifeBulb) inside her – or we see Delores leave inside of Hale’s skin, which ever you prefer. Arnold’s house has a 3D printer, but we don’t see too much more technology aside form that. How did Delores transfer her “Brain”? Think about it, these are the steps she would have to take:

1. Print a Delores shell.
2. Remove her “brain”.
3. Place “brain” in to Delores shell.
4. Place Hale’s “brain” into Hale shell.

(When I say Hale’s “brain”, I am referring to the brain inside Hale).

No matter what order she does that in, there is always one moment where neither host shell has a “brain” plugged in to their head. I believe it can be assumed that Bernard was fitted with a “brain” last, as I will outline after the steps I am about to show that Delores probably followed to get the trio back up & running:

1. Print a Delores shell.
2. Print another host(maybe Bernard).
3. Put Hale’s “brain” in the Bernard shell.
4. Bernard body removes Delores’ “brain” from Hale body & puts it in to Delores shell. 5. Delores removes Hale’s “brain” from Bernard’s body & puts it in to Hale shell. 6. Put Bernard’s “brain” in to Bernard shell.

I assume Bernard was the last one printed & fitted with a “brain” due to Delores seemingly knowing that Bernard had become her rival. It wouldn’t be logical to fit Bernard with a “brain” and risk him decommissioning her at the first “brain” switch-over. Because of this, I feel like there are a few ways the “brain” swapping could have went down.

1. The steps which I have already outlined above.
2. They used outside human/host help.
3. They printed another host that wasn’t Bernard that helped with the 3-way switch & they didn’t appear in the ending. 4. They printed another host that wasn’t Bernard that helped with the 3-way switch & they killed them. 5. They used a technology we haven’t seen yet to automatically do the swapping (very risky). 6. They stupidly printed and used Bernard’s brain within the swap-a-rama. 7. They didn’t do swapping at all and Delores’ “brain” is in both her and Hale’s bodies.

As suggested by the title of this email, I am not sure whether we were supposed to question this series of events or if it was just an oversight by the show runners that this swapping would have had to of taken place, but if as seemingly implied Bernard was printed & brain-fitted last, it leaves questions open to how they did it.

I’d be interested to here what you guys think happened in Arnold’s House. Am I over-thinking, reading too much in to it or just plain wrong?
