Where to start?

I guess if any art can elicit an emotional response it is better than average, correct? I wasn’t really happy with what they did with James but I guess I understand it. I can’t blame the writers for making James completely unhinged after having him so in “control” up to this point. On that note, did I feel the same way when Sir Stuart Strange had his panic attack last week? No.

1) The Ship: Maybe he has much more of an emotional attachment to his ship than previously shown. Cleary he has some history with the ship which may or may not be the reason he becomes completely unglued when the EiC scuttles his ship. Perhaps the EiC killed two birds with one stone. Disrupting Delaney’s plans and getting rid of possible evidence in lieu of the Chichester investigation.

2) Zilpha: I really didn’t like the reunion of James and Zilpha. There was little to no conversation or exposition on why she killed her husband when she did. Is it me or did James hesitate when Zilpha says “I did it just like you showed me”? I’m beginning to think that maybe Zilpha was the problem child and not James. I have other issues with this “reunion” but lets see how it plays out.

3) Ibbotson: Really dude?! You let the man produce gun powder under your nose and exploit your surrogate child (which clearly you had feelings for) but you get creeped out when you see the bird carving in the barn? I call bullshit.

4) Winter: 3 things about winter. One, killing kids is the ultimate Taboo. Two, she was the one character that I wanted to see play out to the end. Three, is this proof enough that maybe the brandy is poisoned? I do believe it is a setup but damn, did you have to kill her?

I really need to decompress after this one fellas. I can’t wait till the podcast.

Later Much
