Hello Shat on TV,I am really enjoying your coverage of Lovecraft Country and I have fallen down many Easter Egg rabbit holes regarding the show. I got my husband to start watching and I thought of another connection in Episode 1: Sundown. Tic is Reading A Princess of Mars (and sees her in his dream) written by Edgar Rice Burroughs of Tarzan fame. Burroughs, like Lovecraft, was also racist. After Burroughs became rich and famous for writing the Tarzan books, he moved West and bought up several hundred acres in the San Fernando Valley, northwest of downtown Los Angeles, calling his ranch Tarzana. Tarzana became a Sundown Town and the Tarzan books themselves have a very ‘white-flight’ feel to them with Tarzan protecting his home from the Africans and looking for people who ‘look like him.’ Thanks so much and I look forward to future podcasts.Trish
