Maeve Voice Theory

Hey Guys,

On my first watch, I assumed Maeve was referring to her own voice when she said she discovered a “new voice” much the same way Dolores did at the conclusion of the maze in the season 1 finale. However, on further thought, what if the new voice is that of Ford? It is widely theorized that Ford has uploaded himself into the mesh network connecting the hosts. By this mechanism, he is able to monitor events and occasionally intervene (e.g. speaking to Bill, having Clementine drag Bernard). What if Maeve tapped into Ford’s voice/presence and subsequently has his ability to control hosts without voice or gesture command?

As a side note: for some reason, many people on reddit are adamant Ford does not have this power and instead, controls the hosts only with gestures or verbal clues. However, there were clearly instances during season 1 when he affects the host without speaking or moving.

Thanks for sharing the show experience with me. It’s fun to hear your theories and I appreciate all you do!
