Dear Roger, Gene, Big D, and Kerri,

I hope you guys are doing well.

I love the show and I love the ShatOnTv Westworld Podcast, the ONLY companion piece to the hit HBO TV show Westworld.

I have been thinking about the Jim Delos – Peter Abernathy connection. Here is what I believe proves they are the same person:

1) Narrative Change

In season one, we learn that Peter’s original narrative in the park was as the professor. This would mean that Jim Delos would have believed that Ford was giving him a respectable narrative when the Park was being opened and Delos was having his conciousness transferred to this high level character.

As punishment for what Ford describes as ‘management ruining the park’ he changes Peter’s narrative to be that of a father who constantly sees his daughter get abused and heart broken.

2) Peter is one of the early hosts in the Park. Jim’s investment saves the park.

3) As was said on the podcasts, Jim and Peter look similar.

4) They both have daughters.

5) Both daughters live difficult and come lives.

6) William (Man In Black) is involved with both of them. He falls in love with both and clearly ruins the lives of Dolores and his human wife. Ford would have known about William and his love interests.

Thank and enjoy episode three tomorrow.

Yours,

Nick in New York

I agree. In the first episode, he glitches very badly from looking at a picture. This was before Charlotte Hale used him as a walking flash drive. Having the personality of James Delos hidden under other narratives and past characters would make sense. This would have either happened accidently(unlikely) or because the control unit/host brain belonged to one of the “Delos-bot” prototypes. Maybe Ford salvaged one to discover William’s project. During the diagnostic/interrogation of Abernathy in the first episode, Bernard says: “this behavior is miles beyond a glitch”. But Ford barely reacts even if Abernathy threatens and grabs him. It’s like Ford knew what was happening and didn’t want to do anything as if curious about the outcome. Bernard seen similar program codes in Abernathy and the Delos-bot. And also the picture that triggered everything was of Delos’s daughter/William’s wife. That picture and the reveries could have triggered the awakening of the dormant Delos personality and caused the emotional response and a rejection of reality similar to his cloning failures. If that’s the case and he’s slowly taking control of Abernathy’s body, he’ll likely seek revenge on William and others who did him wrong.
