Night King- Fire

Hey guys- Colin from Sydney. Big fan.

Am I seriously under-thinking this or do we already know the answer to how the Night King and White Walkers react to fire?

In Season 6 episode 5 “Hold the Door” the Children of the Forest throw grenades at the Army of the Dead (side note: would be nice to have those in the upcoming battle)

They then proceed to light a semi-circle of fire around the cave to help delay the Army of the Dead from entering the cave.

While the army goes around, the Night King and White Walkers go straight through without hesitation.

Does this mean that fire probably won’t stop them? I get that dragon fire is more than a campfire but do we really think the show-runners would put this scene in by accident?
